The first day of school in Germany arrived and I felt ready for the challenges up ahead. Thanks to all the wonderful experiences I've had so far, I knew I could focus on school now than ever.
One of my largest items on my bucket list was attending Oktoberfest in Germany. Even though it wasn't in Munich, I had a blast with the locals and didn't have to worry about security and high prices. The night consisted of eating Käze Spätzle (cheesy noodles), drinking beer, dancing on the benches, and singing in my dirndl.

After our Octoberfest weekend, we attended the 11. city festival called the Rheinsteiguferfest. Once again we got lost on our way to the festival on the other side of the Rhine. After a few twist and turns we asked a group of elderly people who kindly took us with them to the festival. It was lovely talking to a couple who had lived in Koblenz for 35 years and new the U.S. well, due to their daughter who studied in Portland, Oregon. As we arrived there was a small stage popped up, along with a children's table and food tents. The best tent had homemade cake inside that was for a fundraiser. Of course who wouldn't have a slice.

Your pretty jealous right now aren't you?? It was a banana, chocolate, moisty, yummy piece of cake.
On our way home from the festival we stopped in the oldest part a of Koblenz of Ehrenbreitstein. This small village was created thanks to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress that stands right next to.

As for the first week of class's it was a success! I will be taking German, International Business and Marketing Case Studies, German Business Behavior, Intercultural Management, and Consumer Behavior this semester!
I can't wait for the many more weeks ahead! Until next time!
